The frequency of teenage pregnancy is alarming in areas where CAEVA Uganda operates as well as the resultant health and socioeconomic effects, such as, dropping out of school, suffering from fistula, poor parenting, getting held up in the cycle of poverty, among others. To prevent the situation, CAEVA conducts sensitisation on the effects of teenage pregnancies/parenthood in school and in non-school communities. This empowers vulnerable youths with skills and knowledge to make responsible decisions pertaining to their sexual health, basically to avoid teenage/unwanted pregnancies, and to avoid sexually transmitted diseases, like HIV AIDS. RAHU SRHR Youth Funding has been instrumental in intervention in additional to using locally generated resources to continue with sensitisation.
